Music - Choral/Vocal Performance

The goal of the Music Choral/Vocal Performance track of CAPAA is to present the highest quality of musical training to students in grades 9 through 12, developing the  student as a musician.  Talented students, with average to above average academics, are encouraged to apply. Vocal music students will focus their studies on varying choral styles and repertoire ,through solo performances and various sized ensembles.  All music department students will be required to study Music Theory, along with the opportunity to study varying music curriculum, through elective courses.  

Music -Instrumental Performance

The goal of the Music Instrumental Performance track of CAPAA is to present the highest quality of musical training to students Grades 9 through 12, developing the musician as a whole.  Talented students with average to above average academics are encouraged to apply. Instrumental music students will focus on technique, ensemble, playing and solo performance. All music department students will be required to study Music Theory along with the opportunity to study varying music curriculum through elective courses.

Theatre Arts - Performance

The Theatre Arts focus is designed to provide students with a broad-based education in theatre. Throughout the years of course study, this program will enlighten students to theatrical history, theories and practices in acting, character/script analysis, playwriting, and directing, including seminars in the art of stagecraft, and supplementary cohort collaborations with vocal performance; when available. The goal of this program is to further develop and share the students’ talent and creativity in the world of theatre and musical theatre for those interested.

Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program is an intensive art immersion course, designed for the student that loves to draw, paint, sculpt and express themselves creatively. This program is designed to offer students an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in art through the exploration of varied media, techniques, development of concepts and connections to art history.  Students will be encouraged to think creatively, develop effective communication through visual literacy, increase their aesthetic awareness, and develop an appreciation of the value of hard work and the intrinsic satisfaction that comes from it.
