I have been a teacher in the Wilkes-Barre Area School district for thirteen years and I am the activities director at Coughlin. I started my career at Solomon/Plains Junior High School in 2007 and came to James M. Coughlin High School the following year. I graduated from Coughlin High School in 2003, so being a teacher here is a privilege.
After high school, I went to King's College and received a Bachelor's Degree in History with a certification in Citizenship Education 7-12. My Post-Graduate work was done at Wilkes University and the University of Scranton where I earned a Master's Degree at each institution. I am certified to be a principal in Pennsylvania and also am a certified drivers ed instructor, working for Quad A Driving Academy.
Outside of school, I am on the board of directors for the Luzerne County Historical Society Board of Directors, former member of the Luzerne County Children and Youth Advisory Board, former member of the King's College Alumni Executive Committee, and 1st Vice-President of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. I also serve as treasurer for the Wilkes-Barre Area Education Association. I am also certified in adult and pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED.
