Coach Mushock and Lady Mohawks Visit the National Champions Penn State Women’s Volleyball Team

On August 13, 2015, members of the Lady Mohawks Volleyball Team were invited to spend a day with the Penn State Women’s Volleyball Team. The Nittany Lions captured the Women’s Division 1 National Champions as the defeated BYU on December 20, 2014 in Oklahoma City.

During their visit, the Lady Mohawks had an opportunity to watch practice and learn new techniques, observe practice organization, and understand the life of a Division 1 Student Athlete. Head Coach Mary Mushock and team Assistant Coach Jocelyn Robertson spent time with Nittany Lion Head Coach Russ Rose, discussing program logistics and the many challenges that teams encounter throughout a season.

The Lady Mohawks are planning a trip to see Penn State take on Nebraska on October 2, 2015

It was truly a proud moment for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District and the Wilkes-Barre Meyers Girls Volleyball Team.
