Meyers, GAR and Solomon Plains Junior High Advanced 7th grade math students recently participated in a trip to the “Junior Achievement Center” in Moosic, Pennsylvania as part of their math instruction. Prior to the trip students took part in a month-long program that introduced them to personal financial planning and career exploration. At the culmination of this teacher-led program, students visited the JA Finance Park and participated in a realistic on-site or virtual community. They put into practice what they learned by developing and committing to a personal budget.
