Congratulations to the Coughlin Junior High Wrestling Team

CHS Wrestling

The Coughlin Jr. High School wrestling team, on February 11th, took first place out of 13 teams. Coughlin scored 208.5 and held an eleven point lead over the second place team. Our team had 8 finalists, the most of any school in the tournament. We ended up with 6 first place winners: Cooper Price 85 lbs, Jayden Pahler 100lbs, Darren Clarke 105 lbs, Matthew Chase 115 lbs, Tyrone Qualls 130 lbs, and Manny Selever Hwt. Our 2nd place winners were Joe Monahan 110 lbs and Sa’id Hollis 122 lbs. We finished with one 4th place finisher Josh Warman, 5th place Aaron Warnigarris, 6th place Kobe Bednar and Randall Bednar. We had 12 wrestlers place in the WVC tournament. The team did an amazing job during the tournament. There were 3 wrestlers that finished the year without a loss: Cooper Price, Darren Clarke and Matt Chase. On January 21st, the Coughlin Jr High Wrestling team took first place out of 22 teams. The team did an amazing job during the tournament. The team score was 155 points, which was 17.5 points above the second place team. Coughlin finished with 4 champions in the tournament: Cooper Price 85 lbs, Darren Clarke 105 lbs, Joe Monahan 110 lbs, and Matthew Chase 115 lbs. We also had two 2nd place winners: Josh Warman 90 lbs, Jayden Pahler 100 lbs; and a one 3rd place finisher Manny Selever. Coughlin placed 7 wrestlers out of 16. This was a tough tournament to place in because of how many teams participated. A job well done to everyone involved!
