Keeping summer educational with Power Scholars Academy

Jeremy Amaya touched the Q on the smart board and a giant queen of hearts card appeared. He touched the Q again and a U appeared next to it as a voice made the “kwa” sound of the two letters, then said “queen” Jeremy beamed ear to ear and clapped.He is one of 175 Wilkes-Barre Area School District students from pre-kindergarten (his level) to grade 4 attending the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA’s Power Scholars Academy.
