GAR 8th graders raise money for Malala Fund

Students in Mrs. Joyce's 8th grade Reading classes were inspired by Malala Yousafzai's memoir to contribute to her organization, the Malala Fund, which supports educational initiatives around the world for children who lack access to a quality education.  Students raised funds by designing and selling t-shirts.  Malala Yousafzai was shot by the Taliban in 2012.  She survived and continues to campaign for education.
