Mrs. Domiano’s 4th grade students learned the steps of the writing process, including publishing.  First, they discussed topics. Section 4-1 chose "If I Ruled the World", and Section 4-2 chose "My Future Career." 
Next, each student wrote and submitted a rough draft about their topic. Then, one-on-one meetings were held to discuss the stories and the editing process started. This was followed by a practice page, then a "real" page that would be submitted to the publishing company. The next step was to create illustrations to match the stories, a cover page, and a back page.  Finally, the completed pages were sent out for publishing. The students love seeing their work in a book, and enjoy reading each other’s stories.
