DISTRICT 2 CLASS 4A CHAMPIONSHIP: Nilon leads Wilkes-Barre Area to title

Two perfect plays led to one storybook finish for the first-year soccer program at Wilkes-Barre Area.  Tanner Nilon put the finishing touches on a pair of dynamic first-half passes from his teammates, then completed a hat trick and added an assist on the final goal as Wilkes-Barre Area, in its first year of competition as the jointure of Coughlin, Meyers and GAR high schools, claimed the District 2-4 boys subregional soccer championship — and its first trip to the state playoffs — with a 4-1 win at Delaware Valley on a misty Wednesday evening.  Click here to read the full article on The Citizens Voice.
