On Sunday, the STEM Academy Robotics Team won first place in a dramatic fashion.  This was the team's first competition, and in addition to winning the top spot they also received one of the best awards of the night, the Judge's Rising Star Award.  Tio Marello, a junior at the STEM Academy, qualified for the semi finals of the Dean's List Award.  This award recognizes  students who demonstrate leadership throughout the competition.  He has the potential to receive a substantial scholarship through First Robotics with additional competitive wins.
