F.A.C.E.S. of Wilkes-Barre Area School District 7th Annual Harvest Festival

For the 2017-2018 school year the Wilkes-Barre Area School District will be hosting our 7th annual Harvest Festival! This initiative titled, The F.A.C.E.S. (Family and Community Enrichment Services) of Wilkes-Barre Area, focuses on community and family outreach as a pro-active approach to deal with problems associated with mental health and wellness. We hope this year will be even bigger and better than last! On Thursday, November 2nd from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., we will be holding our annual Harvest Festival at Heights Elementary School.

Family And Community Enrichment Services (FACES) is a school-wide and proactive approach to mental health and wellness. The initiative targets school wide prevention of problems and improves our schools by focusing on facilitating the social and emotional development of all students. Through the use of family outreach and education, school wide initiatives, and strengthened community partnerships, we strive to re-engage disconnected students, address barriers to learning, and create safer and healthier schools for all.

The atmosphere of the Harvest Festival as always, will be light and inviting. The Festival will include a turkey dinner with all of the fixings, free food and snacks, face painting, music/DJ, games, and an auction! The event is completely free including all food, games, and auction tickets.
