Polar Express Day

First grade at Solomon-Plains Elementary celebrated Polar Express Day.  Both children and teachers came to school dressed in their pajamas.  When the children arrived at school, there was a letter from Santa, a bell, and a golden ticket waiting for them on their desk.  The day started with a visit from the "conductor" who punched their train tickets. The first grade classes rotated to every first grade class to complete Polar Express themed math and ELA activities.  Each teacher punched the students' tickets as they finished the activity.  The day ended with hot chocolate, cookies, and watching the Polar Express Movie.  What an exciting day for first grade!
