Students Compete in Governor's STEM Competition
The following students recently competed in the Governor’s First State STEM Competition:
Elsa Romero, Gabby Nichols, Kenny Macko, Kyle Ostrowski, Kyle Sattof. They made to the finals in the state competition where they ended up placing 5th out of approximately 250 schools. Their project was called "Protech" and the students designed a body camera, controlled by an Arduino that would take photos when your pulse spiked in the invent you were getting attacked or any other emergency that cause your heart rate to spike. The idea originated from when your brain reaches the fight or flight stage, you tend lose focus and memory. This would assist law enforcement in obtaining enough evidence to piece together a crime scene or emergency situation.
