Wilkes-Barre Area 7th Grade Math Teachers Inspire Students
Teachers from Solomon Plains Junior High, GAR and MHS have worked to create a math club that would allow students to become engaged in math and develop a lifelong love for learning.
The District Math Clubs recently attended a trip to the MO math museum in New York City. At the museum, the students were able to experience dynamic exhibits and programs that stimulated inquiry, sparked curiosity and revealed the wonder of mathematics. This trip, planned and supervised by their 7th grade teachers is a culmination of a year’s work in the math club as students discovered the many facets of the math world.
