Francis "Yogi" Michael Invitational is a Success at Solomon Junior High
The Third Annual Francis “Yogi” Michael Invitational was held at Solomon Junior High School on Saturday, December 12, 2015. The Coughlin Junior High Wrestling Team took first place. Tanner Smith received the award of the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. There were a host of Crusaders that went undefeated over the weekend going 5-0, Josh Warman, Nino Cinti, Sa'id Hollis, and Conner Lee. The wrestlers that went 4-1 are Lucas Heylek, Jamie Pahler, Dylan Kohl, Joe Ammons and Tanner Smith. There were 7 other teams that participated in the tournament including Abington Heights, Delaware Valley A, Delaware Valley B, Wyoming Area, Meyers, G.A.R., and Elk Lake. The Crusaders lost their first match to Delaware Valley B and then came back winning four straight matches. In the finals match Coughlin defeated the Delaware Valley B squad that beat them in the first round with a final score of 49-33. With this team tournament it brought the Coughlin Jr. High Wrestling team’s record to 5-1. They are coached by Steve Sedon, Matt Manganiello and Jim Manganiello.
