Building Periscopes in 6th Grade
In Mrs. Frank's science class, students created a periscope to understand the use of angling mirrors and reflection. This STEM activity was completed at the end of their unit study on Sound and Light. The activity not only required the students to build working periscopes, but to create either a How-to-Guide, write a detailed journal entry, or to make a Google slide presentation explaining the detailed steps they took to create their periscope. Mrs. Frank's 6th grade students at Solomon Elementary had a great time completing this STEM activity.
