GAR Defeats Meyers in District 2 Class 4A Boys Basketball Semifinal
Meyers’ Jawane Buckner was pretty much lights out Saturday afternoon, but come on this was ridiculous.

After Buckner hit his ninth basket early in the fourth quarter, the lights went out at Wilkes University due to a powerful storm moving through the area. To read the full article from The Times Leader, click here.
 
Parent/Teacher Conferences
The Wilkes-Barre Area School District invites all parents/guardians to attend conferences according to the following schedule:
  • Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Conferences @ Solomon Junior High, 1:15 to 4:15 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday, March 8, 2017, Conferences @ Coughlin, GAR, Mackin, & Meyers 1:30-4:30 PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM
  • Thursday, March 9, 2017, Conferences @ All Elementary Schools, 1:30-4:30 PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM

Coughlin Teacher Mr.Ward Named to "20 Under 40"

The Wilkes-Barre Area School District would like to invite you to participate in our Family Math and Reading Workshops on March 4, 2017. The workshop program will focus on mathematics and reading skills. All students in grades 3 through 7, accompanied by a parent, are invited to participate.
