Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 16th. Parents have a choice to attend in-person or virtually through Google Meets on your child's Google Classroom. November 16th will be a day off for students. All parents attending in-person are required to sign-in and go through security. Each conference will last approximately 10 minutes. Conferences will be available during the following morning and afternoon times:Session 1 conferences will be held for 10:10 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., and be VIRTUAL ONLY. Session 2 conferences will be held from 2:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., and be In-Person ONLY.

Students in 5th grade learned about the importance of a disaster preparedness plan from Charlie Krommes, Luzerne County Emergency Planning Manager and Mike Van Luvender, Emergency Management Coordinator for Plains Twp. They discussed tips to create well thought-out disaster plans for many different types of disasters.

Solomon Elementary School celebrated "Patriotic Day" to honor our Nation's Veterans and Active Service Members. Students were encouraged to wear Red, White, and Blue. Students also created cards to be distributed to our veterans at the local VA Hospital. Click on the More+ to see additional pictures.
In conjunction with Veterans Day & World Kindness Day, we are going to be holding "Patriotic Day" on Thursday, November 9, 2023. (No School- Friday, Nov. 10th) Students are encouraged to wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE clothing to honor our Nation's Veterans and Active Service Members. We are asking students participating to bring in a $1 donation or an essential item that will be donated/shipped to our active service members overseas. Donations accepted until 3 PM on Thursday, November 9th.
