Student Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic

WBASD

The Wilkes-Barre Area School District is pleased to announce that we have once again collaborated with the Pediatrics Associates of Kingston to provide Wilkes-Barre Area students, ages 12 and up, with the Pfizer vaccine.  There will be two vaccine clinics held.  One at Kistler Elementary School and the other at Wilkes-Barre Area High School.

The first free vaccination clinic will be held at Kistler Elementary School on Friday, September 10 from 3:30 to 5:00 for the first shot and then on Friday, October 1, at Kistler Elementary School from 3:30 to 5:00 for the second shot.

The other free vaccination clinic will be held at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School on Friday, September 17 from 3:30 to 5:00 for the first shot and then on Friday, October 8, at Wilkes-Barre Area High School. from 3:30 to 5:00 for the second shot.

All students must have a completed consent form and pre-vaccination screening form that can be printed from our website or picked up in the school’s main office.  All students ages 12 to 15 must have a completed consent form and must be accompanied by an adult.  Students ages 16 and older must have a completed consent form but do not need to be accompanied by an adult.  Please note that there are two different consent forms.   One form is consent when a parent is needed and the other is consent when a parent is not needed.

Please note:  the vaccine is free of cost but insurance information is needed.  If you do not have insurance, you are still eligible to receive the vaccine free of charge.   Please register online for your free vaccine.  Indicate if you will be attending the Kistler Clinic or the Wilkes-Barre Area High School Clinic.

A survey is available in Skyward Family Access if you are interested in your student receiving a vaccination.  For those who do not have Skyward Family Access, please contact your child’s school and they will complete the survey for you.
