Solomon Family STEM Nights

Solomon Elementary conducted Family STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Nights for the students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  The students along with family members were given an engineering challenge and asked to design, build, test, and possibly redesign their creations.  The third graders and their family were asked to build the tallest free standing paper tower out of tape and only one piece of paper.  Fourth graders were given materials and asked to build a vehicle that would travel the furthest using one puff of air.  Fifth graders were given the challenge of designing the tallest tower out of only toothpicks and marshmallows.  Click on the More+ to see the fantastic STEM creations built during the Family STEM nights.
