Medication Safety Program

Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy Students discussed medication safety with our 5th grade students.  The pharmacy students discussed what a pharmacist's job entails then compared and contrasted over the counter medication and prescription medication. Students learned how to accurately measure liquid medications. They showed the 5th graders the difference in the amount of medication administered using a spoon, measuring cup, and syringe. The students learned the most accurate tool to administer medication is a graduated cylinder. Thank you to the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy Students!
