Weekly Reminders Week of May 8th

Greetings Solomon Families,

Thank you for your continuous support throughout the 2022-2023 school year.  It is difficult to imagine we are already half way through the 4th quarter of the school year. With the first portion of the EOY required testing for 3rd, 4th, 5th Grades almost completed, and the start of Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade DIBELS testing about to begin, the Solomon- Plains teachers and staff are working together with our students to make sure we have a strong and positive finish to the school year. Friday, May 12, 2023Students and staff are encouraged to dress as their favorite decade! Please make sure all outfits are school appropriate! We asked those students participating to bring $1.00 as a donation to our end of year activities. Participation in Solomon Community Days are strictly voluntary!

 

Kindergarten Registration:

Registration appointments for incoming 2023-2024 Kindergarten students are available for Solomon-Plains Elementary School on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. To schedule your appointment please call Mrs. Jarnot in the main office at 570-826-7222 ext: 3301. *If you are unable to attend Mrs. Jarnot will schedule you for a later date/time.

Guidelines/Requirements: 

Children must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2023 to register for kindergarten. Parent/legal guardian and the registering child must be present at the time of registration. Pre-register is available online via the school district website.

All required documents must be present at the time of registration.

  • Parent/legal guardian’s photo identification
  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Child’s immunization records and copy of current physical.
  • Physical is needed by November.
  • Two Proofs of Parent/Guardian’s Residency (Current: lease agreement, utility bills, insurance policy, bank statement, recent pay stub.) -within the last 60 days.
