The Wilkes-Barre Area Key Club attended the Pennsylvania District Convention, where Key Clubs from all over the state gathered to celebrate achievements during the past year. WBA Key Club received Key Club’s Major Emphasis Award because during the past year, we have grown from a club of sixty to 221 members. Together, these members achieved the distinction of having achieved over 11,000 service hours during the past year, which is the highest number of any club in Pennsylvania. As a result of the growth and service, Wilkes-Barre Area High School Key Club was also recognized with the Distinguished Club Award, Platinum Category, and our officer team members were named Distinguished Club Officers.
