Solomon – Plains Elementary School

Parent/Guardian Pick-Up of Student Belongings 

And

 Chromebook Return 


Date and Times


  • For students whose last name begins with the letters A to M, your collection day will be Wednesday, June 3, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM.


  • For students whose last name begins with the letters N to Z, your collection day will be   Thursday, June 4, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM. 


Collection Procedures


  • A parent/guardian is required to come to the school to pick-up student belongings that have been packed up in a bag by homeroom teachers.


  • There will be no scheduled appointment. Arrive at the school during the day and time frame according to student’s last name.


  • Only one adult per family will be granted access to the gym. It is highly recommended that children do not accompany the adult. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced. 


  • Everyone entering the school or standing in line must wear a face mask/covering as required by CDC guidelines.


  • Upon arriving on school property and approaching the main entrance of the school, wait for instructions by school officials to enter. Please remain 6 feet apart and adhere to social distancing policy. The school sidewalk will have markings to assist with spacing while waiting to enter the school.


  • Provide the greeter at the door with the student(s) names, grade, and section. The parent/guardian will be guided to the student’s labeled bag in the gym and escorted out the through the cafeteria to the front entrance. Note: The bag will include the contents of the student’s desk/locker and possibly educational resources that they may use for learning enrichment over the summer.


  • We kindly ask that adults immediately leave the parking lot after pick-up in order to abide by social distancing guidelines, keep the flow of visitors moving along, and avoid traffic congestion.


  • After returning home, if there are any questions about what is in the student bag, please contact your child’s teacher or the main office.


  • Any items remaining at school after June 8th will be disposed of.



Chromebook Return


Chromebooks issued to students in grades 3 to 6 should be returned during the student pick up time. Please provide the Chromebook, along with the power cord, to the greeter upon entrance to the school.
