Solomon Plains Junior High Continues Work in the Community
Tommy Hannigan and Jason Moses

Faculty, staff and students from Solomon Plains Junior High School have continued their community outreach into February.  Last month, the school community collected funds to feed fifty veterans at the VA Hospital and due to the generosity of individuals, we were able to offer another lunch on February 28.  This time, the food was donated by Tommy’s Pizza Corner in Kingston by Amy and Jason Moses, daughter and son in law of the owner.  The veterans enjoyed their lunch once again and are looking forward to another one in March!  Another focus for February was the Rescue Warriors Cat Rescue.  Monetary donations and supplies were collected for a two week period.  There was over two hundred dollars and an overwhelming amount of supplies collected to help the nonprofit organization.  Check out facebook pages for both organizations and remember to always support local!  A special thank you to Brenda Banaszek and Melinda Heffron, teachers at the school as well as the continued support of principal, Tony Khalife.  Pictured are owner of Tommy’s Pizza Corner, Tommy Hannigan owner and Jason Moses, son in law.
