Superintendent's Update - December 16, 2021
Dear Families,

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are aware of numerous messages circulating on social media, primarily TikTok, across the nation regarding school shootings and bomb threats to schools tomorrow, December 17, 2021.

The posts appear to be part of a national TikTok trend.

These social media posts warn of threats but are not specific to Pennsylvania and do not contain specific threats, schools, actors, or locations. There are currently no credible threats within the commonwealth.

Our local law enforcement agencies and school officials will remain vigilant, and we ask our families to monitor their children’s social media activity.  As always,  if you or your child becomes aware of any potential threats or suspicious behavior please report it to Safe2Say at (844) 723-2729, or [email protected], or online at www.safe2saypa.org.

I want to thank our community again for their cooperation and the support they have provided in making safety our top priority for our students and staff.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Costello
