Welcome Solomon Scholars!

On behalf of the staff members of Solomon-Plains Middle School, I would like to welcome everyone to our brand-new school year. I’m Mr. Correll and it is a privilege to serve the students, families and community as principal of Solomon-Plains Elementary School Complex K-8. I am joined in welcoming each of you with Assistant Principal Mr. Eric Drako, Head Teacher Ms. Jamee Hopkins, and a new member of our administrative team Director of Middle Level Education, Grades 6-8 Mrs. Melissa Myers. 

We look forward to working alongside you to provide the most successful learning experience for our students. It is our vision for Solomon-Plains to continue to build a school environment where students feel safe, comfortable, challenged and engaged. Right there beside them are our passionate and dedicated staff members, families, and community members, ready to support, learn and grow with our Solomon Scholars.
 

Our objective is that together, we can make all of the characteristics of an ideal school happen right here at Solomon-Plains successfully. We thank you in advance for taking on this charge with us to benefit our students and support your child’s experience at Solomon-Plains. It is vital to have your collaboration, assistance, and participation in the school experience to ensure that your child obtains their highest potential.

Side by side, we will engage our scholars with challenging academics and unique resources, in order to become active citizens and responsible scholars of our world. In addition, we encourage each family to keep the school updated of phone numbers, email address and of course your residential address so we can maintain communication with teachers, families and administration. In return, we will provide open communication with monthly school wide calendars include important information and imperative dates, so you and/or your child can be up-to-date. We will also share information on our school’s web page and offer academic progress online through skyward.  

Lastly, as the Solomon-Plains Elementary School Complex K-8 Principal, I am looking forward to working with each of you and your children towards having a community of learners, in which all members use their minds well and care about one another. Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of us at the school, at any time! Together, we will help your child and all of our students, develop a love for learning and life-long habits that will help them succeed!
