MINDS UP, the WBA High School student wellness group, teamed up with Balance Yoga to bring the practice of yoga to students.  The overall objective is to teach students healthy coping skills and promote mindfulness.  Student yoga will be offered weekly at the high school.

DA Sam Sanguedolce Speaks to WBAHS Students

Luzerne County DA, Sam Sanguedolce and Drug Task Force Detective, Dan Mimnaugh Speak to WBA Students

Tuesday, December 21st District Attorney Sam Sangueldolce spoke to Wilkes Barre Area Students to address the many different challenges facing WBA students. Among the topics touched upon by DA Sanguedolce and Detective Dan Mimnaugh were those of drug use/abuse, criminal prosecution, school violence, and cyberbullying.

CAPAA concert

CAPAA Holiday Concert on WNEP

The Wilkes-Barre Area School District's CAPAA Theatre and Music group prepared and taped a holiday concert that will air on WNEP streaming as well as on local WNEP station channels.  The performances are set to air on Christmas Day from 5:58 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. and from 7:28 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
