Wilkes-Barre Area offers continued Summer Learning with "Exact Path" in Grades K - 8

Exact Path K-8 Available for Summer

This summer, WBA will continue to offer the use of the online learning program Exact Path.

Students have used this tool all year in grades k - 8. It provides personalized learning across K8 in reading, language arts, and math.

Information is attached explaining the program and best practices for it's use this summer.

Keep your students engaged, continuing to build their skills so that they return next year empowered and ready to tackle a new year.

Education Experience Students

WBA Program Lets Students Become Teachers

Nine students participated in Wilkes-Barre Area School District's first "Education Experience Program".  The district designed the program to encourage high school seniors to consider entering the education field, and in turn to potentially produce a future pool of teachers for the area.  Read the full article at the Times Leader.

2023 Graduates Return To Their Elementary Schools

2023  Graduates of the Wilkes-Barre Area High School returned to their elementary schools, where it all began, to provide inspiration for our future Pack Graduates and to give thanks to the faculty and staff for helping them through their journey.

Frida Kahlo Parody

Arianna Cruz's Art Receives National Recognition

Arianna Cruz, 12th grade CAPAA art student, received a national award from Scholastic Arts.  Her piece, titled "Friday Kahlo Parody" was first selected for a regional gold key.  It was displayed at the Everhart Museum in Scranton this March.  The recognition allowed her to move on to the national competition where she won a silver medal.  She is invited to attend the national award ceremony in New York City this June to receive her award.
