1st Annual Academies Open House

Join us on Wednesday, October 14th, for the 1st Annual Academies Open House! If you are interested in learning more about the five academies at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School, join us at 6 pm at the school.  There will be brief presentations for each program beginning promptly at 6pm, followed by small tours of each academy's facility.  See the attached flyer for full details and the Google Forms sign up link.

Cultures Connected by Love Event

The Wilkes-Barre Area School District will be hosting the Cultures Connected by Love event on April 7, 2026 at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School.  There will be guest speakers, cultural dancers, live band, raffles and light refreshments.  See the attached flyer for full details regarding this event.

Congratulations to the 2026 G.A.R. Memorial Middle School National Junior Honor Society Inductees

Congratulations to the 2026 G.A.R. Memorial Middle School National Junior Honor Society Inductees.  Our induction ceremony was held the evening of May 5th.  A total of 46 members were inducted.  Dr. Corey Moore, G.A.R. alumnus and current WBA School Director, was our honored guest speaker.  We were joined by an additional 50+ families of prospective 7th grade members as well.  It was a great night to celebrate the academic achievements of our students.
