Keystone Literature Results
Pennsylvania Keystone ExamThe Wilkes-Barre Area School District is proud to announce that District performance on the Keystone Literature exam Winter Assessment exceeded State average. Over 50% of the 11th graders at Coughlin, GAR, and Meyers scored Proficient or Advanced compared to 44% across the state. Even more impressive, Historically Underperforming students in the District, which includes Economically Disadvantaged and Minority students, exceeded State average by over 10%.

Keystone Exams are a cumulative assessment used to determine if students are prepared for college and career. Teachers and Administrators in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District worked tirelessly over the last several years to raise student achievement as seen in these Keystone results through scheduling, realignment of curriculum, acceleration, and data-driven instruction.
