Dear Parents/Guardians,
The PSSA testing window begins on Monday, April 3, 2017. Students in grades 3 through 6 will participate in the ELA Assessment (April 3rd - April 6th) and the Math Assessment (April 24th- 26th). Students in 4th grade will also participate in the Science Assessment (May 1st and May 2nd).
Please be certain your child gets a good night’s sleep every night, and arrives at school on time (by 8:45 AM). Pennsylvania state law requires 100% participation.
Attached you will find more information regarding the PSSA tests and frequently asked questions concerning the tests. We have also attached strategies and tips that will help to improve your child’s PSSA scores. Please take some time and review the information and tips with your child.
In addition, please note that the state prohibits students from having electronic devices in their possession during PSSA testing. No student will be allowed to carry their phones or other electronic devices during the testing window. This policy will be strictly enforced, and consequences can be severe.
Reminder: Educational trips will not be approved during the testing dates.
Encourage your child to do his or her very best on the test!
Thank you,
Mr. Geiger
