"We Got Your Back" Fundraiser
As you are aware, the recent events of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have devastated the states of Texas and Florida. The loss of lives and property is yet to be fully assessed. Many residents are unable to move from the shelters within the hurricane zones. This has happened at a time, when schools were set to re-open with very little resources.
As school districts, Luzerne County, Wyoming County and the Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 are coming together as one and stand with our brother and sister school districts in the affected areas. We have started a fundraiser “We Got
Your Back” to send some assistance to the students in Texas and Florida. For approimately $20.00 you can provide a “Kits for Kidz” which is a Backpack filled with a variety of school supplies for children who have been directly impacted by the hurricanes. These packages will be delivered directly to the school districts where they are needed.

NO DONATION IS TOO BIG or TOO SMALL!!

If you are able to donate please put your donation in an envelope marked “Hurricane Fundraiser” with your child’s name and homeroom teacher by September 27 th . Please make checks payable to your school district. At this time,
we are only collecting monetary donations to purchase the “Kits for Kidz.”

Donations can also be made online through The Luzerne Foundation:

Thank you for your assistance and making this project a success.
