STEM students attend tecBRIDGE High School Business Plan Competition

Eleven  STEM Students in grades 9 through 12 recently participated in the tecBridge High School Business Plan competition.  Students had to devise an idea for a business that would be  sustainable and scalable while demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and strong presentation skills.  They then had to develop their idea into a full business plan before presenting their pitch to a panel of judges that included entrepreneurs, business professionals, and college professors.
Projects included a UV Irradiation cart to disinfect classroom techology, a wearable sensor to track biometrics and fight PTSD, a rideshare app for high school students to increase student involvement, and an RFID sensor that records data when a school bus is illegally passed.  All the teams did a great job presenting against tough competition and the freshman team made up of Brooke Chapple, Danielle Elias and Taylor Hall made the final round of pitches with their RFID sensor, E.Y.E.S.
