YMCA Power Scholars Academy

The Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) and the Wilkes-Barre Area School District would like to invite your student to participate in the YMCA POWER SCHOLARS ACADEMY™, (PSA) this summer. 
Power Scholars Academy is a 6 week, summer learning program designed to help advance students’ academic achievement through a full-day of challenging math and reading instruction; fun arts, science, technology, and engineering enrichment activities; community and career exploration; field trips; and a healthy breakfast, snack and lunch. 

Who:  Wilkes-Barre Area School District Students enrolled in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade for the 2017-18 School Year.

When:   Monday, June 18, 2018,  to Friday, July 27, 2018,
               Daily 8:30AM to 3:00PM  
               (No program on July 4, 2018. Regular attendance throughout the program is expected and required.)

Where:  Heights Murray Elementary School, 1 S. Sherman St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
 
Cost:      FREE! The cost of $1,066.00 for each student is being funded entirely by grants and contributions from your local community.

Staff: Trained certified teachers and professionals will be teaching the program with a 2:24 staff to scholar ratio for all program activities.

Space is limited, apply today.  Program provision and student participation is dependent upon available funding.
