The PA Department of Education requires annual administration of English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science Assessments in grades 3 through 8. Every Pennsylvania student in third through eighth grade is to be assessed in English and Language Arts and Math using the Pennsylvania System School Assessment (PSSA). Students in fourth and eighth grade are also assessed in science by taking a PSSA exam. We ask that you do not schedule any family vacations during this time. These assessments are important in determining how well our students perform in relation to the state standards and our curriculum.
PA State testing dates are listed below:
English Language Arts: April 22 – April 26
Math and Science: April 29 - May 3 (Math grades 3-8, Science is grades 4 & 8 only)
