Team with trophy Wilkes-Barre Area wins first edition of Battle for the Bridge rivalry
In the first-ever Battle for the Bridge between Wilkes-Barre Area and Valley West, the Wilkes-Barre Area defense held its ground. And in turn, it helped the Wolfpack capture the trophy with a 28-0 victory, Friday night at Spartan Stadium.  Check out the full article at The Citizens' Voice.

 Coughlin High School will host Back to School Night, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Coughlin High School Annex on 80 North Washington Street.

Coughlin's English as a Second Language teacher Genelle Hoban-Sedon will be highlighted in  Wilkes-Barre Connect's Spotlight Series focusing on local women entrepreneurs. 
McCoy McCoy's four TDs power Wolfpack to rout of Nanticoke
Rafael McCoy just needed to room to run. For the three-time reigning district track champion, that’s a dangerous combination on the slick Wilkes-Barre Area Memorial Stadium turf.

McCoy scored four touchdowns to lead Wilkes-Barre Area to a 42-0 shutout of Nanticoke Area on Friday. The Coughlin senior’s first three scores came in three different fashions — kick return, rushing, receiving. Check out the full article from The Times Leader
Field Hockey Ulichney, Tedik lead Wilkes-Barre Area to first-ever field hockey win
Those players coming back from Coughlin to help form Wilkes-Barre’s new sports program know too well how difficult a duel with Dallas can be. And they weren’t about to get drawn into a defensive war that went down to the wire again.
Jolene Ulichney and Abie Sorokas both scored twice Tuesday, Ali Tedik added two assists and the Wilkes-Barre Area Wolfpack hunted down the program’s first-ever field hockey win with a 6-0 domination of Dallas.  Check out the full article from The Times Leader
