Performing Arts Creative And Performing Arts Academy Showcase rescheduled to March 13th at 7pm!
The rescheduled 1st Semester Performing and Visual Arts Showcase performance by the WBASD CAPPA  will take place, Wednesday, March 13, 2019,  at 7:00PM.
 
Lobby doors will open at 6:15PM for the Visual Art gallery viewing and the auditorium doors for general seating for the performance will open at 6:40PM. The show is free and open to the public.

STEM STEM Parent Night
The WBASD STEM Academy students will host 2019 STEM Parent Night on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The evening will include an informational session for parents/guardians and their children.  STEM Night will give parents and students the opportunity to see first hand what the program is about through the eyes of current students.  Students currently enrolled in 8th Grade taking Algebra I and/or Advanced College Preparatory classes are eligible. Please confirm your attendance by Monday, February 25, 2019 using  this form.  
Cheer One Last Cheer at Coughlin High School
Students at Coughlin High School held their final pep rally Friday for winter sports in Wilkes-Barre.

There was cheering, a three-point shooting contest, and smiles all around inside Coughlin High School gym in Wilkes-Barre.
 
Alex Mykulyn Crusaders will make their last year one to remember
The students at Coughlin High School are working hard in and out of the school to make their last year as Crusaders one to remember. The boy’s basketball team held an alumni recognition ceremony last month to celebrate the team’s long history as Crusaders. Read the full story from the Citizens' Voice 
Wrestling Team WVC Wrestling: Coughlin beats Crestwood for win No. 700
For 75 years, wrestlers have walked into Coughlin’s wrestling room and poured out blood, sweat and tears and racked up dozens of accomplishments.

After beating Crestwood on Thursday night, 52-19, the Crusaders program can add another milestone to the laundry list with career victory No. 700, becoming just the second team in District 2 history to reach the win total. The only other team in the district to reach that achievement is Meyers, which currently is at 730.

The Safe2Say Something Anonymous Reporting System teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals- especially within social media- of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and say something BEFORE it is too late.  Click the article title for more information. 
Coughlin Boys' Basketball Invites Alumni to Basketball Game Scheduled for January 3
Coughlin Boys' Basketball Alumni Night will be held on on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019.  The Crusaders will play Gar at home that night.  The team will hold a small program to honor alumni prior to the varsity game. Light refreshments will be served in the cafeteria after the game.  JV starts at 6:00, Varsity at 7:15.

 Olivia Pizzella, a senior at Coughlin High School, has been selected as a semi-finalist for the 2019 Coca Cola Scholars Program.  Olivia was chosen from among more than 97,000 applicants nationwide due to her outstanding leadership, academics, and dedication to the community.
