As a part of the District’s reconfiguration process, transportation has been restructured for District students. This restructuring includes changes for students who walk to school and the location of bus stops. All parents should log into the Wilkes-Barre Area Transportation Portal below. Parents should log into the E-link system using their child’s District computer username and password. This should be completed for each child in a household. If you do not know your child’s computer password it can be found in the Skyward Family Access portal by clicking on Family and Student Resources under Quick Links on the webpage. For additional questions regarding access please contact your child’s school. The transportation link will note the following information;if your child walks or rides a bus to school.the bus stop location. The time of pick up and drop off. Without Internet access and connected devices, many students in our communities lack the ability to participate in remote learning and complete homework after the school day has ended. In an effort to identify these gaps, the PA Association of Intermediate Units (PAIU) and Penn State Extension have teamed up to conduct a short survey. The data collected will greatly assist our schools with obtaining local, state and federal broadband funding to provide additional resources to our students and families. Thank you in advance for your time in taking this survey!Click this link to access the survey!

With anticipation that the CDC will be approving the Pfizer Vaccine for children 12 years old and older, the Wilkes-Barre Area School District has collaborated with the Pediatrics Association of Kingston to provide Wilkes-Barre Area students, ages 12 and up, with the Pfizer vaccine. The free vaccination clinic will be held on Thursday, May 13, at Kistler Elementary School from 3:30 to 5:30 for the first shot and then on Thursday, June 3, at Kistler Elementary School from 3:30 to 5:30 for the second shot. A survey is available in Skyward Family Access if you are interested in your student receiving a vaccination. For those who do not have Skyward Family Access, please contact your child’s school and they will complete the survey for you. All students must have a completed consent form that can be printed from our website here or picked up in the school’s main office. All students ages 12 to 15 must have a completed consent form and must be accompanied by an adult. Students ages 16 and older must have a completed consent form but do not need to be accompanied by an adult. Please note: the vaccine is free of cost but insurance information is needed. If you do not have insurance, you are still eligible to receive the vaccine free of charge.
