Right to Know Law:

The Wilkes-Barre Area School District recognizes the importance of public records and activities of the School District as required by Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know-Law (“RTKL”), 65 P.S. §§ 67.101, et seq.
 
The law provide access to public information, for a designated open-records officer in each Commonwealth agency, local agency, judicial agency and legislative agency, for procedure, for appeal of agency determination, for judicial review and for the Office of Open Records; imposing penalties; providing for reporting by State-related institutions; requiring the posting of certain State contract information on the Internet; and making related repeals. 
 
To obtain a public record from the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, please download the form posted on the right and submit it to the Open Records Officer. The cost for copies of requested information is twenty-five cents per page.
