Arianna Cruz, 12th grade CAPAA art student, received a national award from Scholastic Arts. Her piece, titled "Friday Kahlo Parody" was first selected for a regional gold key. It was displayed at the Everhart Museum in Scranton this March. The recognition allowed her to move on to the national competition where she won a silver medal. She is invited to attend the national award ceremony in New York City this June to receive her award.
