GAR Memorial Middle School held its 3rd annual spelling bee on Thursday, January 25, 2024.  There were 36 participants in the school level competition.  The contest lasted 9 rounds before Nayreli Sanchez, a 6th grade student representing Mrs. K. Nilon's reading class won by correctly spelling the word "tostones".  Nayreli will go on to represent GAR in the regional competition at Wilkes Barre Area High School on March
