We are a FIRST Tech Challenge team, hosted in the STEM area of the high school to increase our membership, we decided at the end of last school year to open the team to 7th & 8th grades as well, although, admittedly, we haven't really done anything to advertise the team in the lower schools other than our Facebook posts. Each year, FIRST releases a new game that we then have to build a robot to compete in. We attend 2 qualifying tournaments in hopes to get to the State Championship.
Our meeting schedule is next Tuesday, the 19th, from 5:30-8 and Saturday the 23rd from 9a-5p (lunch is provided). The following week we will only meet Wednesday night, and that schedule then repeats; Tues/Sat one week, Wed the next week.
We are also always looking for mentors! If you know of any teachers who would like to get involved, you can have them contact me directly at my contact info below.
