Wilkes-Barre Area High School Business Academy Students Awarded

Pennsylvania Senate Good Citizen Award

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Nicholas Lussi and Joseph Egidio, 11th grade students in the prestigious Wilkes-Barre Area Business Academy, an immersive program of academic subjects and competitive business practices, preparing students for post-secondary education or entering the workforce with competitive business skills through hands-on learning experiences focused on community engagement and building business relationships, were recently awarded the Pennsylvania Senate Good Citizen Award.
 
Nicholas and Joseph were nominated for this esteemed award based on their concern for community and commitment to ideals essential to the preservation of American Society. Having demonstrated qualities of good citizenship through display of character, leadership, scholarship, and acceptance of responsibility, Nicholas and Joseph were recognized as exemplary citizens with certificates of conduct from Senator David G. Argall.
 
Nicholas is the son of Karen Lussi and Rick Lussi. Joseph is the son of Dr. Anthony and Deborah Egidio.
 
The Wilkes-Barre Area Business Academy is under the guidance of Mr. Hal Gabriel, Principal of Special Programs and the tutelage of Mr. Mike Day, Mr. Mitch Marcks and Dr. Renee Pizzella-Koulik. Eleventh grade students are under the administration of Mr. Mike Grebeck, Principal.
