Students taking Advanced English 12 will focus on World Literature including excerpts from classic works such as The Epic of Gilgamesh, Dante's Inferno, The Iliad, William Shakespeare's Hamlet, and more modern works like Elie Weisel's famous memoir, The World was Silent, and and Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.

 

Throughout the school year, students will also focus on the functions of grammar and will work on their writing skills by completing major essays, a literary analysis paper, and short constructed responses.
