Students taking 11th grade English will focus on British Literature including excerpts from classic works such as Beowulf, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,  William Shakespeare's Macbeth, and more modern works like Elie Weisel's famous memoir,  Night, and D. H. Lawrence's The Rocking Horse Winner.

 

Throughout the school year, students will also focus on the functions of grammar and will work on their writing skills by completing major essays and short constructed responses.
